Chief Nursing Officer
Rebecca Pedersen
Rebecca Pedersen, DNP, RN, CNML, is the chief nursing officer at RUSH Specialty Hospital. In this role since 2024, she functions as the nursing leader and is responsible for nursing practice, wound care, nursing education and the dietician staff.
Prior to joining RUSH Specialty Hospital, Rebecca held positions as the chief operating officer, chief clinical officer and assistant administrator of clinical operations at a long-term acute care hospital. She was also the director of medical surgical units and in charge of the initiation and operation of a COVID unit at a short-term acute care hospital. While there she also served as a clinical coordinator and manager in the critical care division and began her 13-year career in health care as a progressive care nurse.
Rebecca obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Healthcare Systems Leadership, her Master of Science in Nursing and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University.
