Director of Business Development

Terry Furlong 

Terry Furlong is the director of business development for RUSH Specialty Hospital (RSH). He took the position in 2024 and is responsible for oversight of the Admissions Department, community and public relations and serving as a leadership team member focused on aiding our patients, caregivers, referring partners and employees.

Before taking on this role, Terry worked as director of business development for inpatient rehabilitation through the RUSH and Select Medical joint venture. He also worked as an interim and regional director of business development, LTACH sales trainer and admissions coordinator for Select Medical after joining the company in 2009. Prior to Select Medical, Terry worked in admissions and marketing for a skilled nursing facility.

He attained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa.
