Admissions Process
All patients have the right to choose their rehabilitation provider and that choice can make a difference in recovery. You and your loved ones should discuss care options with your doctor and/or discharge planner, social worker or case manager and voice your preference. If you choose RUSH Specialty Hospital, we will work closely with you, your family and health care team to coordinate a smooth transition.
Critical Illness Recovery
-
Arrival at our critical illness recovery hospital is carefully orchestrated by our admissions team, who strives to meet patient needs and ensures a smooth transition between facilities.
-
Shortly after your arrival, a physician-led team of health care professionals conducts a full patient assessment. Based on that, they develop a customized treatment plan to guide care.
-
Patients are supported by daily physician rounds, 24-hour nursing and respiratory care, as well as physical, occupational and speech therapy to promote functional independence.
Inpatient Rehabilitation
-
Our goal, like yours, is to begin treatment when you are medically stable and able to participate in our highly specialized programs of care:
-
When you are admitted to RUSH Rehabilitation Hospital - Inpatient Rehabilitation, we will help you get settled with an orientation to our inpatient rehabilitation and the care you will receive. You will meet your rehabilitation team – doctors, nurses, therapists and other clinical and support staff – who will work with you throughout your stay.
You will work hard to achieve your goals. We will be with you every step of the way, providing the care, training, strategies and support to optimize your independence and help you rebuild your life.
